I was talking with Michielle and looking at gardening things.

She lives in an apartment and is limited to no gardening space….she found this.

Sportsman’s Guide

How cool is that…….!!! Where I live….we grow nothing but good ‘ole Virginia Red Clay……

Of course I had to ask my hubby if he could manufacture one of these and he being the Geek that he is….found some more….I am going to try bucket gardening…Woo Hoo…..
I still have the poles up from the clothes lines….this is doable……

Here are a couple more sites to peruse……

The Tuscan Housewife

(The pictures were removed on the above link but the comment section is worth a read.  There are some really great ideas in the comment section on alternative ways others have made planters.)

Growing Upside Down Tomatoes

Garden Grapevine

If you have limited space or you just don’t like weeding…..this would be the ticket.

If anyone decides to do this, I want to see pictures, Please……..

  1. They sell that tomato planter at Country Catalog Store by Reiman Publishing. I’ve been thinking of getting one and see what I can get. I did buy some strawberry hanging plants from WM a week or so ago. Have to wait to put them up though as it’s not staying above freezing here yet. I may start them in May but they won’t stay outside until after Memorial Day - that’s the rule of thumb up here.
