This old girl is actually 30 years old. In captivity, they can live up to 35 years. In the wild they may only get to about 20 years of age. She was donated to the Zoo by the Dept of Navy. She was all ready trained to throw a frisbie and fetch. She left the stage though and didn’t stay around much to play with the spectators. Her partner was swimming around and showing off for us.

This Bald Eagle was actually nesting. We couldn’t get a close enough look to see the eggs. But she is a beautiful bird.

  3. Lovely pictures, Ginger. There is something so wholesome about a family going to the zoo together. 🙂

    I love the 2nd seal picture….you should think about entering that one somewhere.

    Thank You….the one I missed though was when the one seal sneezed on the other seal. It sat there shaking itself and it was so cute…. 🙂
