Wordless Wednesday…Compliments of Tropical Storm Hannah….

This road is a shortcut road when you are trying to bypass some of the insane traffic in Northern Virgina. This is the little creek that overflowed it’s banks. That road is not flat. It dips. Please notice the signs and mailbox.

This is one of the baseball fields behind the police station. This little creek had turned into a major river covering both sides of Route 1. The water in the yards was at a minimum of 5ft. The nicely stacked firewood was floating down stream.

Route 1, heading towards the Woodbridge campus of Northern Virginia Community College.

At least you can see what the average gas price is here in the burbs of D.C.

  6. That was from Hanna? Which creek flooded down there? All I can remember is Bull Run between us (Burke/Clifton) and Manassas.

Uh…why are DC gas prices less than Memphis prices? That ain’t right!

That was on the Dale City end….Garfield Police Station. The gas was lower than that. I went up 10 cents for labor day weekend and is working it’s way back down.

  8. That’s a lot of water!!!

I couldn’t tell what the gas price was so I did what I could to enlarge it and it looks like it read $3.27.9? Is that right? Gas up here has been $4.15 – $4.19 and I thought that was pretty good.
