What have you done…

You are supposed to highlight what you have done in your lifetime. I borrowed this from Elaine at Valley Life in Alaska.

1. Started your own blog…well, duh!
2. Slept under the stars...in the back of my husband’s pick up truck and it isn’t what you are thinking!
3. Played in a band… in elementry school, I played the trumpet and taught myself the clarinet
4. Visited Hawaii
5. Watched a meteor shower…see number 2. I was with my children and we all slept in the truck and on a trampoline in the middle of a field.
6. Given more than you can afford to charity…
7. Been to Disneyland/world…
8. Climbed a mountain… not a huge one but…..
9. Held a praying Mantis
10. Sang a solo
11. Bungee jumped…This is something I want to try…I think.
12. Visited Paris…
13. Watched a lightning storm at sea…
14. Taught yourself an art from scratch…yes, I taught myself to knit, paint and a few other things
15. Adopted a child…in my heart
16. Had food poisoning…very unpleasant.
17. Walked to the top of the Statue of Liberty…
18. Grown your own vegetables…
19. Seen the Mona Lisa in France
20. Slept on an overnight train
21. Had a pillow fight… love them especially with the kids.
22. Hitch-hiked
23. Taken a sick day when you’re not ill…
24. Built a snow fort…. grew up in the snow belt in Ohio that was a must do thing.
25. Held a baby lamb
26. Gone skinny dipping
27. Run a Marathon…
28. Ridden in a gondola in Venice….
29. Seen a total eclipse
30. Watched a sunrise or sunset…
31. Hit a home run…surprised a few people when I took off running.
32. Been on a cruise… only if staying overnight on the ferry counts.
33. Seen Niagara Falls in person…
34. Visited the birthplace of your ancestors
35. Seen an Amish community…there is just something wrong seeing an Amish buggy with blue running lights and a boom box playing hip hop clopping down a Pennsylvania back road.
36. Taught yourself a new language…still in the process of learning.
37. Had enough money to be truly satisfied…

39. Gone rock climbing…back when I was stupid.

51. Gone scuba diving or snorkeling…This was effort because I am unsinkable

69. Saved a favorite childhood toy…actually it was a bible given to me at age 9 that went through three house fires and I still have it.

78. Been on a speeding motorcycle…my uncle gave me a ride on his Harley and popped a wheelie while I was on it…He forgot to tell me to hang on and I slid right off the back of it.
79. Seen the Grand Canyon in person…

81. Visited the Vatican
82. Bought a brand new car…
83. Walked in Jerusalem…
84. Had your picture in the newspaper…
85. Read the entire Bible
86. Visited the White House…
87. Killed and prepared an entire animal to eat…does butchering your own chicken count?

89. Saved someones life…from drowning, from being shot
90. Sat on a jury
91. Met someone famous… Brian Jacques, author of the Redwall Book series.
92. Joined a book club
93. Lost a loved one…
94. Had a baby…3
95. Seen the Alamo in person…
96. Swam in the Great Salt Lake…
97. Been involved in a law suit…
98. Owned a cell phone…
99. Been stung by a bee
100. Read an entire book in one day…

57 out of 100. I need to get around more. If you would like to try it just cut and paste then highlight what you have done.  This was fun Elaine. I would like to take this a step further and add a few new items. It would be fun to see how much more could be added to the list.  So…here goes.

101. Flown on a plane…California, Texas, Utah, Ohio
102. Ridden in a train… to Southern VA on the Amtrac and from Delaware.
103. Gone hunting and actually fired the rifle…that one made my stepfather nervous. He was in front.
104. Played a practical joke on someone…in college.  Koolaid in the mens shower heads. Back in the day when kool aid stained.
105. Had/have an exotic pet…two parrots, an African Timneh Grey, White fronted green Amazon
106. Been arrested, fingerprinted and photographed…when I ran away from the foster home I was in…got put in jail for that one also. I left out the strip search, but that was a part of the whole experience.
107. Learned to shoot a gun…Of course, pistol and rifle.
108. Learned knife throwing…I haven’t but I know many of my Homeschool mom friends have….LOL

I’m sure there is more, I will just have to think about it and come back to it.What have you done that is not on the list…?  I would like to know because I am nosy.
